what the Active AN Networkdoes

The Active A/V Network makes it easier an([ faster to use the

VCR's Quick Program and Play commands.

When youpressQUICK PROGRAM tobeginprogramming:

• ActiveA/V Network willturnon your VCR and bringitto

the "Program to record" Screen.

• Active A/V Network will turn on your TV (if it is olD, and

switch the TV to EXT-1.

WhenyoupressQUICKPROGRAMto endprogramming

• Active AN Network will turn offyour VCR (unless a tape is

currently playing or recording).

• Active AN Network _411 return your TV to the channel it

was on before, or turn it off (if it was offoriginally)i

WhenyoupressPLAYonthe remote:

• ActiveA/V Network willturnyour VC,R on and be_,dn

playing the tape.

• Active A/V Network will turn the TV on, set to EX_-I.

• Your VCR will turn off, unless it is playing or recording.

DI_mportant: When using the Active AN Network, you should always point

your remote control at your t_levision, not your VCR.

MakingaCopyofaTape

There are two basic ways to make a copy of a tape. One way is to

use the HS-U510 to play a tape and use another VCR to record.

The other way is to use another VCR to play a tape and the

HS-U510 to record.

Whichever method you choose, you will need one RCA audio and

one RCA video cable to connect the two VC,R_. I/you do not have

these cables, they are available at your local electronics retailer.

And remember, it is illegal to make copies of copyrighted
